Update on lead theft at Neston Civic Hall

Scaffolding at Neston Civic Hall

The damage caused by the lead theft at Neston Civic Hall has turned out to be worse than first believed.

As our followers on Twitter will know, Maxiflow have been working with Enterprise PLC to assess and repair the damage caused by lead-stealing vandals. Several high-profile buildings across the Cheshire area have been targeted by the thieves, including Northwich Library and Chester Cathedral, causing considerable damage.

Neston Civic Hall became a casualty a couple of weeks ago, and we have been examining the scale of the vandalism in order to provide the best solution. The problem was larger than expected, as we found that the timbers have been ripped out, which requires a much more thorough repair job. Our joinery team will be starting first thing Monday morning to repair and replace the roof and we’ll keep you updated on our progress.

  • Rang up on Monday about my roof - they priced the job the same morning and had finished by the end of Tuesday. Couldn't ask for better service.
